In an interview with Hawzah News Agency marking the start of the new academic year, Hojatoleslam Ali Qanavati, Deputy for Students and Graduates Affairs of the Islamic Seminaries, hailed the message of a "leading and preeminent seminary" as a valuable asset guiding the transformative course of the seminaries, emphasizing the need to preserve authentic seminary traditions and structures while responding to the demands of the day.
Offering his congratulations to seminary students, scholars, and professors on the occasion of the new academic year, Qanavati expressed hope that the coming year would be one marked by knowledge, spirituality, and scholarly pursuit across the Islamic seminaries, accompanied by goodness, prosperity, blessings, and ever-greater flourishing.
Highlighting the opportunities ahead for the seminaries in the new academic year, he said: "Praise be to God, the year before us holds a highly valuable and precious asset that can serve as a guiding light for the seminaries, students, professors, administrators, planners, and policymakers."
Qanavati continued: "The message of a 'leading and preeminent seminary' can help the Islamic seminaries fulfill their role, mission, duties, and responsibilities along this path."
He noted that, under this approach, the desired and fundamental transformation of the seminaries should be pursued while preserving authentic seminary systems and traditions, so that the seminary can meet the needs of the day and engage appropriately with its affairs, missions, and responsibilities.
Underscoring the responsibility of seminarians toward their entrusted missions, Qanavati stated: "We hope that, regarding the duties placed upon all of us seminarians by our martyred leader, Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, and under the leadership of the Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, and with the guidance and leadership of the grand maraji' (sources of emulation), we can traverse this path with ever-greater success."
In conclusion, the Deputy for Students and Graduates Affairs of the Islamic Seminaries wished success and prosperity for all seminary students, scholars, professors, and activists.
